My Story
The North Shore Electrolysis Clinic has been in business for over 60 years and since 1990 has been owned and operated by Sharlene Winram. She graduated from the Vancouver Community College Practical Nursing Program in 1982 and the Canadian Electrolysis College in 1990. Sharlene has over 20+ years of experience as a professional Electrologist - specializing in electrolysis and dermatological analysis. She is a highly respected and qualified professional in the area of permanent hair removal.
Having come from a long line of nurses, Sharlene began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse caring for a wide variety of patients and medical conditions. She inherently cares for people and empathizes with each set of personal circumstances, striving to help them in any way she can.
Sharlene's desire to help people is what lead to her becoming an Electrologist. As a teenager, she experienced personal shame and embarrassment with her own excessive hair growth. She underwent electrolysis treatment to rid herself of her excess hair and has since become passionate about permanent hair removal as a way to prevent others from experiencing similar embarrassment.
Sharlene has a long list of loyal clients and considers herself blessed to have met so many kind and wonderful people throughout her career.
